Kevin Clark's Retirement from Collegiate Athletics
Kevin Clark, the Deputy Director of Athletics at Northwestern University, has announced his retirement effective October 31, 2025, concluding a notable 30-plus year career in collegiate athletics. Joining Northwestern in May 2022, Clark brought extensive experience from his previous roles at Temple, Indiana, and Saint Louis universities. He played a crucial role in shaping strategic initiatives and enhancing the student-athlete experience across Northwestern's 21 varsity programs.
Mark Jackson, Vice President for Athletics & Recreation, expressed gratitude for Clark?s contributions, highlighting his commitment to student-athletes and the mission of education. Prior to his time at Northwestern, Clark served nearly ten years at Temple University in various leadership positions, overseeing significant projects and improvements. His career began at the NCAA and included various roles at Saint Louis and Indiana University, where he advanced to Senior Associate Athletic Director.
A Kansas City native, Clark holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Grambling State University and an MBA from Webster University. He also served 23 years in the Army Reserve, retiring as a Major. Reflecting on his career, Clark expressed appreciation for the relationships he built, emphasizing the meaningful connections formed throughout his journey.
